High Pressure Sales

Twice now I have been accosted at the North Star Mall in San Antonio, TX. The first time I just kept walking.....the second time I was not as lucky.

I was not in a hurry and he handed me a small diamond shaped trial packet. Then come the sales tactics: They start with asking what you use on your face. I use Lancome and Elemis. All high quality products.

Without asking if I have a skin allergy - I do - he grabs my hand and applies a orangeish substance. I try to pull my hand back and he holds it firmly. I am starting to get upset and ask for my hand back. By that time he is rubbing this substance into my hand and tells me I am going to love the result.

I was furious. I guess it some sort of a exfoliation gel. I refused to buy it. I will not buy something unless I have been able to research it and see if it causes skin irritations.

I was rescued by my room mate who had come looking for me and the guy let me go. I had forgotten the entire thing until today when I was cleaning out my purse and found the trial packet. I decided to research the product and here I find this website.

I will steer clear of them in the future.

They operate out of a very nice boutique in an upscale mall and I was surprised that they have so many bad reviews.

I will add that he did not have a snowballs chance of separating me from my money!

These people are very aggressive. You basically have to keep walking quickly, do not allow them to place anything in your hands and never make eye contact with them. Keep going and they will pester the next person.

So sorry for your ordeal. These people are illegal Israelis working here to earn money after serving in the Israeli army.

You can google Illegal Israelis working in Malls and stuff will come up. I, too, was accosted when I came out of the Apple store on Long Island in the Walt Whitman Mall. I was carrying my laptop in a shopping bag and walk with a cane b/c I recently had knee replacement. The man came over and asked to HELP and grabbed my hand trying to get me into the store.

I told him, I am getting Mall security and talked in a loud voice that others came to see what was going on.

Report to Mall Security and Simon Properties Inc., the owners of this Mall. Do the same, please.

I was walking through a mall in San Antonio while waiting for a hair appointment. The FF sales rep literally grabbed me by the arm and took me into the store.

She demo'd the microdermabrasion product on the inside of my arm. I tried several times to walk out telling the salesperson I would think about it. She kept pushing different "deals". All my instincts were telling me to get out of there, but I honestly began to feel like I was going to be able to leave until I bought something.

The whole thing was very high-pressure. I spent $130 on the "diamond infused facial peeling gel." She "threw in" the moisturizer cream. Then she told me to come back in a month and she would do something with my eyes! (I am 60 years old and admittedly have a wrinkle or two, but REALLY, what a thing to say!) I practically ran out of the store.

When I got home I noticed the receipt said no returns. Believe me I was already thinking about taking it back. No where was this policy posted in the store, and the salesperson definitely did not mention it. Ultimately I tried the product on my face using it as directed.

Number one, it is almost impossible to get the stuff off if you have any fine hair anywhere on your face. I tried everything I could think of. It literally took days before I could no longer see pieces of this stuff hanging off my face. Secondly, for several days I felt like there were tiny pieces of glass in my skin if I rubbed it.

Thirdly, I could not see any positive effects at all. As for the "free" moisturizer, it is gritty and difficult to rub in. It did not feel pleasant at all and there certainly doesn't seem to be anything special about it. I doubt seriously if I would even use it as a hand cream.

Is FF a scam? I certainly think it is. If the products were actually any good they would not have to pressure people so hard to buy them and they would offer a money-back guarantee. I lost $130 I could ill-afford, but I am grateful I did not get scammed out of thousands of dollars the way some others have.

Stay away! If approached keep right on moving.

Thanks for the review-wish I had seen it before buying-that *** exfoliate clung to the little baby hairs on my cheeks and I had to actually shave my face to get it off! I spent $360 on the blue diamond eye serum and eye cream and she threw in the exfoliator. What a waste.

Similar experience with the hard sell. When I said no thank you they started with the car sales routine of needing to speak with their manager to get me a better deal.

And even tried to sell me a torn box for about 10 percent of original price. I can smell a scam. Then they got rude that I didn't purchase anything. The low end creme they put on my eyes to make my circles go away is nothing more than a concealer that wiped off later.

ScAm.

Stay away from the San antonio locations.

No solution, just want women to be aware not to let these folks pressure you in buying things you really don't want or need.

I just received my FEDEX from my new Italian best friend (forever flawless) that I met while killing time before a flight out of San Antonio. As I read the reviews here..

and I look at my box full of goodies... I am thinking.. how the eff did this happen? Yep, like others..

I paid for one item and was given an additional nine other items "free" . I haven't even tried them yet.. just keep staring at the box - buyers regret? Oh yes.

Regretted it the moment I agreed to it.. even walked out of the store.. turned around and walked right back in.. only to be assured that I was doing the right thing..that it was guaranteed....

it really didn't make me feel any better. I could just have flushed that grand (and some) right down the toilet.. they take advantage of vulnerable women - probably focus on those who, like myself..

reaching the age where the lines are a little more noticeable - make promises and pretty much beat you down and admittingly, I caved in.
