Forever Flawless - Pressured into Buying Bad Products
Today I was going through the mall doing my holiday shopping when I passed a Forever Flawless store. A woman and a man were standing outside passing out little samples, and although I tried to walk past nonchalantly (I have no interest in skin products), the woman walked forward to block my path and push the sample towards me. Trying to be polite, I reached for it, but some way or another one of us dropped it, and the little paper fluttered to the floor. When trying to hand it back to me, she grabbed my hand and guided me into the store, asking me tons of questions and basically bombarding me.
I have severe anxiety and in stressful situations I basically shut down and just let things happen, and she could tell I was vulnerable. She proceeded to slather some salt stuff on my hands and go on to tell me all about how the diamonds inside are "scientifically proven to exfoliate 2-3 layers of dead skin", meanwhile I was trying desperately to think of a way out. Long story short, she told me that the whole shebang would be $160, and that was just not happening. When I tried to shuffle away, she got all quiet and said that she could hook me up with both for just $80, so long as I kept it quiet. I was desperate to just get out of there and have an anxiety attack in peace, so I ended up shelling out the money for something I didn't want, didn't need, and didn't intend to use. I thought that I may be able to return the scrub the next day, but as listed on the receipt (and NOT said at any point during the sales pitch), there are NO refunds.
Immediately after using the scrub, though my hands were softer, my skin became very irritated and feels prickly all over. Tonight, writing this review after the experience, my skin is still stinging. I know I will not be using this product or gifting it to anyone as it could potentially be dangerous. Now I have to go through a lengthy process in order to get this garbage out of my possession and hopefully get my money back.
